MLK Day

I have the day off for MLK day. Oh, the benefits of working for the state. Of course, Scott has off too. We had to come to Helena to pick up Garett and Elaina today. They have been in Arkansas for the long weekend. I am ready to get them back. It is amazing how much you think you want the peace and quiet and then miss them terribly when they are gone. So, today I am trying to catch up on the discussion boards with school. Boy, this semester is busy, busy, and more busy. Scott and I enjoyed watching the game last night. Thank goodness Eli and the Giants won. Scott would have just had a horrible day if his Ole Miss boy didn't pull it off. LOL. Personally, I would have rather watched Peyton. LOL. Take care all and talk to you later.

Away from home :)

We'll tonight I am in Jackson MS. I had to come to Jackson on business with work. I actually am glad I got to come. A whole full night of no cooking, following up on homework, baths, settling arguments, and finding whatever Scott has lost. HA! I am sure my cell will be ringing shortly though from someone on the homefront. Hope everybody is doing well. Tomorrow night Elaina has a program at school. She was elected the Terrific Kid of the month by her teacher. She has a little program at school where she gets to sing and get a certificate. She is so excited about it. I will try to take some pics and post them later.

January 9, 2008

We'll today is off to a bad start. My classes resume today. Only one of the classes is showing up on blackboard. After phoning the helpdesk, staying on hold for an hour, and then speaking to a man that can not even spell my name, I still have no results! So I will now be behind in my classwork. I am hoping and praying that by the morning this will be resolved. I do not like playing catch up. It has been nice the past two weeks. Now I am back to the same ole walks of stressful life. Scott, the kids, and I were up late grinding and packing the deer that he and his dad have killed. This activity Elaina really enjoys but personally I wish they would stop already. We have a freezer full already and I think I am going to turn into a deer if I have to eat one more bite. On a good note, the kids are enjoying their new clothes from Christmas and seem to be glad to get back in the routine at home and school. Let us hope that this is just one day of mass confusion and the rest of this week will go better. Blog=venting. Cool!

Back to the routine!

We'll I now have the kids back and school has resumed today. They were ever so excited about getting up and going this morning. Yeah Right!!!! It appears while they have been gone they have gotten into a habit of staying up late and sleeping late and eating lots and lots of junk food. So now they are back at mean ole mom's again with this rigid schedule and meals that are not out of a Quick Stop somewhere. LOL. Garett has gained a few pounds but will lose it rather quickly this week, as I am sure Scott will have them loading and unloading wood for the fireplace. Elaina, has got Hanna Montana overload. She is a mess. Rachel has cleaned out her closet and we may never find her again. The loads of clothes that we now have to seperate and go through. At least she will now have some room in her closet now. For a very short while I am sure. She has drama everyday of her life. Remember being 13, and all that drama???? I did have a good visit with my parents this weekend. We went down Saturday after Scott got off of work. We stayed the night and mom went with me Sunday afternoon to pick up Garett and Elaina. Elaina had already given me orders to bring Gran, Mrs. Connie, or Mrs. Jennifer but no men! I guess she wasn't considering Garett a man since he was coming back with us as well. I have 14 students coming in today so it shall be full of adventure. I just love Mondays! I start school again on Wednesday. A whole new semester of read, read, read, and read. It feels good outside today so maybe the kids will be able to play outside this afternoon after school. Last night they all got out and jumped on the trampoline a while before going to bed. We'll everyone have a good one.

Starting to blog!

We'll this is a first. I got this idea of blogging from my cousins and a couple of friends. Seems to be pretty neat and an excellent way to communicate and send pictures. I am so glad we have reached 2008. Last year seemed pretty stressful for the majority of people that I know so I am hoping this year will prove to be better. I hope I can also figure out how to put pictures and all on this thing. I still am pretty green on such things I suppose. Hope everyone is having a good day.
